The Promise of a Strong Shepherd that will Lead His People (Promise 5)

The-Promise-5.png

What are some characteristics of a good Shepherd? They care for, guide, nurture, protect, defend, comfort, and search for the lost sheep, but the relationship isn’t all one sided, the sheep also knows and responds to the voice of their shepherd.  What are the difference between having a shepherd vs a hired hand? There is no personal investment or gain with hired hands, when the times get tough or uncomfortable they leave, it isn’t worth the risk. A shepherd stays and lays down his life for the sheep because he knows his sheep and his sheep know him.  (John 10:1-18) Are you listening for your shepherd’s voice?
